About Me:
My name is Kevin Barkdull, some may know me as MERCILESS Kevin Barkdull. I am a 21 year old fighter out of Anderson Indiana. I have been fighting for 3 years and studying BJJ for a year and a half. Along with BJJ I have a wrestling background. I also have a boxing background
I am managed by Matt Vaught a promoter out of Muncie Indiana, who is the owner and operator of Iron Warrior Fight League (IWFL). The fights he holds are by FAR the most professional and best anywhere in Indiana.
My ammy record is 8-1. I currently stand with a 2-0 pro record. I had my pro debut on November 1, 2009. I fought Jason Bott (0-1 at the time) and won in the 2nd round at 1:30 with a submission (rear naked). I am sponsored by; Bad Boys Bailbonds, Rulon Strength, CD Fabricating, Lucky Rabbit Tattoo, Bronze Bay Tanning Salon, and Heart Fight Wear.
My training partners are pretty amazing people! Got my buddies Ryan "Baki" Stout, Adam Bodkins, Jeff Brewster (brewha). As well as the 2 places i mainly train Hahn's Martial Arts and Team Warhammer. They are all a great bunch of guys that help get me ready to do what I love.
I do not have one specific place that I train. I bounce around with different people around the Muncie, Anderson, Indianapolis area. As long as iI can goet a good hard workout in and better myself I will tain anywhere with anyone who offers. I am hardworking in my sport and very driven to achieve the high goals I have set for myself. I will step up to anyone who wishes to challenge me, because that is what a fighter does. He should be ready to go at a moments notice and WANT to fight anyone who challenges. Because you never know when that one big break will show itself. The thing about this sport is there is as soon as you think you know a lot, someone else knows something that can build on what you already know. There is always someone out there that is better than you so you must constantly train hard and never short change yourself.
This is what I love to do, fighting has changed my life. I am a more discplined person because of it. It teaches you so many things I encourage anyone to get into it, not to just fight, but to at least train. Maybe never step foot inside a cage, because let me tell you it is not for everyone. But train to understand the sport more because you get a lot of self respect as well as more respect for the people that are in this sport. Because you realize it is more than just getting in the cage swinging to hurt another person, there is many hours on hours of training and watching the other man's styles and tactics and planning that goes into the fights as well.
Thanks to everyone out there supporting me hope to keep on bringing you good fights and continue to put on some good shows for you! Like I always say get your popcorn ready cause I have only just BEGUN!!!
